Riverstone 1730 is a classic nine room 18th century waterfront Guest House Bed & Breakfast overlooking the Delaware River. Dating back to 1730, Riverstone has served as a frontier trading post, a Publik House (Colonial era tavern), and today, a Guest House Bed & Breakfast. The Guest House is attached to the host's living quarters by massive two feet thick stone walls that provide the utmost in quiet privacy. Unlike a traditional B&B, where guests rent a bedroom and share common spaces with strangers, at Riverstone 1730 you and your party are the only guests and have access to entire property. We are a "Laissez-Faire" Guest House where you also determine the level of interaction with your hosts... just let us know, we are only a text message or phone call away. Riverstone guests also have their choice of three large, elegant bedrooms wonderfully appointed with queen size beds, comfy linens, down comforters and antiques. Modern, historically correct windows enhance the peace and quiet for our guests. The wide plank flooring, four fireplaces, exposed beams and antiques take you back to the 1700’s the moment you walk through your private entrance....
Relax fireside with your favorite beverage in the cozy Gathering Room, Study or Dining Room. These are ideal common spaces for you and your party to relax. Your gourmet country kitchen is equipped with a farm sink, Aga gas/electric stove, refrigerator/freezer microwave, Keurig coffee maker, French press and full size washer & dryer. The upstairs master bath offers a glass shower, large soaking tub and a two-sink vanity.
Our Guest House B&B is the ideal spot for your romantic getaway retreat, group rendezvous or to simply relax with good friends or family. Flexibility is the hallmark of your stay as we have no scheduled meals or "activities", Breakfast is served on your schedule at the Homestead General Store located just around the corner from Riverstone. They open daily at 7 AM, simply present your certificate for a wonderful breakfast at your leisure. Relish unobstructed views of the Delaware River from nearly every room in the house. With your safety and convenience in mind, smart smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are installed throughout the Guest House. Complimentary WIFI and internet television are also provided. Central air conditioning provides even comfort throughout during the warm months and each bedroom is equipped with chargers for guest's electronic devices.
